The Phantom from Tekkusai is the successor to the Beast’s glasspad, almost like the Beast V2, but with a twist. Ultra-fast surface with a silk-smooth touch, but with added micro texture within the surface to allow for stopping power and control when needed.

Tekkusai showed why, when it comes to glass, he knows how to do it best with this pad. Let’s get into it.

Surface: The Phantom is one of the first glasspads that really does feel unique when it comes down to the surface, nothing OEM or standard everyday glass, but a one-of-a-kind surface feel with hockey table-like speed AND game-changing grip and control, which is something that I can only really say is something you have to try for yourself.

While using this pad, I was just expecting the micro texture not to be that much of a big deal or even noticeable at all. But after getting the pad out of the box and using it for the first time, I was taken aback after use in a game, as I wasn’t ready to be able to control my gameplay as well as I did with a glasspad.

I tried this pad with a sleeve, no sleeve and a hoodie sleeve, and all were more usable for it. Even with a more intense gameplay, I could comfortably use no sleeve and have very little sticking to the pad with my arm.

Overall On Surface: The Phantom really proved itself to me after a very short amount of time and use, as I knew it was going to be a good pad and a great user experience for anyone who likes a glasspad or is also needing control but still wants to try a glasspad.

Base, Thickness And Edges: The Phantom has a full rubber textured base that worked on every surface I tested it on, no movement during any use, even with excessive pressure and pushes, which I found really nice to use for a glasspad that is only 2.5mm thick.

The 2.5mm thickness makes this a super thin and lightweight glasspad, perfect for people who like to swap out their gear often. This also makes it a seamless transition from desk to mousepad, and this is also assisted by its 45° chamfered edge, which is the first of its kind on a super thin glasspad (To my knowledge), and I think it’s something that should be used ALOT more on pads coming out. (Edit, Like the new wallhack 005 pads)

Extras: I really like how the phantom felt and performed for me in all situations I used it with, for the base being super thin and super grippy to my desk, to the edges being so nice and smooth.

The Phantom also comes with Ghostglides Cyclone Pro skates for all retail units (I didn’t get these in my unit, as it was a review unit that I got early), and you also had a 1-10 chance to get a hand-drawn laminated collector’s card with the mousepad, which I think is a really nice touch.

With the reviewers unit, I got a branded cleaning cloth and a breakdown laminated card telling you all the info on the pad and some background info too.

These are all great touches to a mousepad that really add to the buying and unboxing experience.

Huge thanks to @tekkusai for sending me this pad, it has been a blast, and I can’t wait for more and more drops to keep coming.
